The sequel has enlisted a formidable cast of pugilistic powerhouses: Rico Verhoeven, the reigning 13-time Glory heavyweight world champion known as “The King of Kickboxing;” Michael Chandler, a UFC title contender and multiple-time Fight of the Night honoree; Michael “Venom” Page, a former kickboxing champion who has made a name for himself in Bellator MMA and the UFC; Dustin Poirier, a former UFC Lightweight Champion; Stephen Thompson, an American mixed martial artist and former kickboxing world champion; and Tyron Woodley, a five-time UFC Welterweight Champion who's also made waves in boxing. Adding to the excitement, Jay Hieron will reprise his role as UFC fighter Jax “Jetway” Harris.
The plot details remain tightly guarded, but we know Jake Gyllenhaal is returning as Dalton, the UFC fighter turned bouncer. The production is set to be on a grand scale, with filming taking place across the U.K., Malta, and Savannah, Georgia.
This sequel arrives on the heels of the 2024 Road House reboot, which captivated audiences with 80 million viewers worldwide in its first eight weeks on Prime Video. The original film featured Conor McGregor, along with other figures associated with the fighting world.
But here's where it gets controversial... the film is directed by Ilya Naishuller and written by Will Beall. The cast includes Leila George, Aldis Hodge, and Dave Bautista.
